Hormones and peptides for active women

RECOVERSMARTER

Recovery peptides, cycle-aware training and hormone care, run by licensed clinicians who start with your labs and your history.

A licensed clinician decides eligibility for every treatment on this page.

Recovery

Sleep, protein and load come first

Most recovery gains start with sleep, protein spread across the day and a training load that matches your week. Peptides are an add-on a clinician may discuss once that baseline is set, not a replacement for it.

  • A sleep target set with your clinician and tracked weekly.
  • Protein spread across three to four meals.
  • Deload weeks scheduled from training data, not guesswork.

Clinician-guided peptides

Two peptides we discuss in clinic

Every peptide is considered after labs and a medical history review. Eligibility is always a licensed clinician's decision.

Sermorelin

Clinician-guided, where appropriate, evidence still emerging

Sermorelin is a synthetic analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone. It is studied for its effect on the body's own growth hormone signaling. Clinicians consider it for select patients, and dosing and schedule are set individually.

FormInjectable, prescribed by dose and schedule
CompoundedCompounded versions are not FDA-approved.
ClaimsThis page makes no efficacy claims for sermorelin.

NAD+

Clinician-guided, where appropriate, evidence still emerging

NAD+ is a coenzyme present in every cell and central to energy metabolism. Clinicians offer it in several forms, including injection and infusion, and discuss each case on its own medical facts.

FormInjection or infusion, set by the clinician
CompoundedCompounded versions are not FDA-approved.
ClaimsThis page makes no efficacy claims for NAD+.

Peptide therapy is not a substitute for sleep, protein, strength training or a prescribed hormone plan. Your clinician will say which of those comes first for you.

Cycle-phase helper

Find your phase, see the general notes

Day 1 is the first day of bleeding. Cycle length varies from person to person, so treat the phase as an estimate.

General education

Ovulatory

Days 14 to 16

Strength often feels strongest for many people. Warm up thoroughly and keep protein steady across the day.

Training

Heavy or power work fits well here for many people, with a longer warm-up.

Nutrition

Spread protein evenly across meals and keep fluids up.

General education only. This helper does not diagnose, and it does not replace advice from your clinician about your own cycle, symptoms or labs.

Hormone care options

The range of options, decided by a clinician

These options show the range of care available. They are not a recommendation. A clinician decides which, if any, fits your labs, symptoms and history.

Menopausal hormone therapy

Estradiol, with progesterone added when a uterus is present. Forms include patches, gels and tablets. Dose and route are set after labs and a risk review.

A clinician decides

Non-hormonal prescriptions

Certain prescription medications used for hot flashes and sleep disruption. Choice depends on symptom profile and health history.

A clinician decides

Low-dose testosterone

Considered for select women with low energy or low libido after labs and clinician review. Dosing is conservative, and levels are rechecked on a set schedule.

A clinician decides

Lifestyle and tracking

Sleep, strength training, protein and symptom logs. This is often the base layer that every other option builds on.

Lab panel

Labs come before any hormone decision

A baseline panel gives your clinician the numbers. Follow-up draws check that a plan is working.

Hormones Core

  • Estradiol Day-specific
  • Progesterone Day-specific
  • FSH and LH Day-specific
  • Total and free testosterone Morning
  • DHEA-S Any day
  • AMH Optional

Thyroid and metabolic Core

  • TSH and free T4 Morning
  • Fasting glucose Fasting
  • HbA1c Any day
  • Lipid panel Fasting

Blood and nutrients Core

  • CBC Any day
  • Ferritin Any day
  • Vitamin D Any day

Draw timing depends on cycle day, and the order is set by your clinician. Every result is reviewed in a visit, not just in an app notification.

Fit

Who this may not be right for

Hormone and peptide care carries real risks for some people. These are the common reasons a clinician may decline or pause treatment.

Eligibility is always a licensed clinician's decision. A clinician may decline a request even when no item on this list applies.

  • Pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding.
  • A history of breast, endometrial or other hormone-sensitive cancer.
  • Unexplained vaginal bleeding that has not been evaluated.
  • A history of blood clots or stroke.
  • Active liver disease or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
  • Under 18.
