Adults 18 and older. For GLP-1 medication, clinicians generally look at a BMI of 30 or more, or 27 or more with a weight-related condition such as high blood pressure. A licensed clinician decides after reviewing your history, medications and labs. Some people are not candidates, and we will tell you why.
Brand-name medications are FDA-approved. Compounded medications are made by a licensed pharmacy for an individual patient, and they are not FDA-approved or reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality. Your clinician will only suggest a compounded option when it is clinically appropriate and permitted by law, and you choose which path to take.
Membership fees are not billed to insurance. Brand-name medication may be covered by your plan, and the pharmacy bills that separately. Lab costs depend on your plan and the lab location. We show every cost before you pay.
With GLP-1 medication, the most common effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and constipation, which often ease as your dose settles. Serious effects are less common and are listed in the Important Safety Information below. Message your clinician about anything that worries you. For an emergency, call 911.
